Positive Leadership Practices Road Map – the way to success
The business manager had realised that the organisation needed to improve the skills of its managers. The manager knew there were a number of options available, however a good friend had passed on the information about Positive Leadership Practices© (PLP).
Following a 2 hour free presentation about the PLP process which included having had some practical experience of how PLP worked, this meant the manager was confident about using PLP to achieve their goal. PLP was the solution to solve the company’s problem as it covered a significant range of key skills for success.
The manager was unable to decide which of the modules were to be included before fully making a commitment. PLP has an easy set-up process, a qualified consultant provides the necessary support to tailor the modules to the specific organisational requirements. Firstly, a timeline is produced for the series of agreed modules. Second, each of the module outcomes is discussed and the options are selected. The third stage is to conduct an initial questionnaire with each of the participants and evaluate the results. These evaluations are reviewed further into the learning process and provide the measures for a full evaluation process. Finally, one skill practice unique to the organisation is prepared, others will be provided directly by the delegates using specific and relevant situations, all this is part of the learning process.
PLP recognises the development of skills for the leadership of people is a long-term process and not a short-term quick fix.
